Description
Review Customer Order Report for assigned product line. Create Work Orders and acknowledge customer order dates. Create purchase orders for parts that require plating. Analyze, and then perform transactions if necessary to make corrections to work orders, receiving and inventory. Review Customer Order Pack Slips and Receiving Records then assign information. Review Engineering Change Notices and then take necessary action. Communicate concerns in Production Control meetings.
Requirements
- Review of Customer Order report for assigned product lines.
- Create Work Orders and acknowledge delivery dates based upon work center capacity, component and raw material availability.
- Create purchase orders for products that require outside service to appropriate vendors.
- Attend Production Control Meetings to review schedules and operational performance. This includes customer orders and raw material needs, work center performance, vendor issues, engineering changes and quality control action issues.
- Analyze and perform system transactions when necessary to make corrections to work orders, receiving records and inventory.
- Review Customer Order Pack Slips and assign appropriate work order and work center locations.
- Review Receiving Records and assign appropriate locations to distribute parts.
- Analyze and schedule plant capacities to meet customer demands. Work with Sales and Manufacturing teams to balance work load and capacities with customer demands.
- Review and implement Engineer Change Notices for new projects. If a part has a revision work with Production Control Manager so that First in First Out (FIFO) is performed on changes to existing products.
- Assist in tasks for Production Planners, Inventory Analyst or Production Control Manager when on vacation.
Required skills, licenses, knowledge, experience or abilities:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must habe production planning, scheduling, and inventory control experience.
- Ability to work and communicate with levels within the organization
- Knowledge of MRP (material requirements planning) and CRP (capacity requirements planning)
- APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) training/certification a plus.
