Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care with respect and dignity, catering to individual needs.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition and reporting them to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding privacy.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety at all times.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care or senior care is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with home health practices, assisted living environments, or direct support roles is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held is encouraged.
- Understanding of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or changes in health status.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
