Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical exercises as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Support clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
- Implement memory care techniques for clients experiencing cognitive decline or dementia.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and adjust care plans based on client needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
