Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or long-term care needs.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and assist with meal planning.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Document medical information accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Lift and transfer clients safely using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in client health status.
