PRN home health aide

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for those in your care.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
• Help clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing assistance tailored to their specific needs.
• Ensure a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.

Requirements

• Previous experience in senior care or assisted living environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary requirements.
• Ability to lift and assist clients safely while following proper techniques.
• Familiarity with monitoring vital signs and maintaining medical records is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
