What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at A & L RV Sales LLC?
Combining your in-depth knowledge with your exceptional people skills, you'll manage customer relationships and frequently serve as a liaison between technicians and customers. You'll also select, coach, lead, train and supervise rv technicians while assisting with the purchase of parts, materials and equipment.
Manages Service Department, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relations, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, ensuring overall safety of employees and customers.
Ensures the department efficiently and effectively processes repair orders (retail, warranty, and unit prep.)
- Develops, monitors, and achieves agreed-upon departmental business objectives (strategies, profit plan/budget) consistent with company policies, regulations, and expectations.
- Effectively schedules service work, including ongoing adjustments.
- Develops and executes a successful marketing plan in coordination with other departments.
- Manages, develops, and sustains a high level of employee performance and morale that results in a fulfilling and productive work environment.
- Ensures the department is properly staffed by recruiting, hiring, and promoting the right people for the right positions.
- Effectively manages employees daily to maximize productivity and morale.
- Optimizes employee performance through effective ongoing evaluations, recognition, rewards, and performance management.
- Achieves and sustains a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Makes sure the service team effectively communicates with customers in a timely manner to produce positive results.
- Successfully resolves customer complaints and issues in a timely manner. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education and Experience Requirements: • High school diploma or GED required. • College degree strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements: • Operate in either outdoor or indoor environments. • Sit, stand, stoop, bend, twist with ability to lift up to 40 pounds as necessary.
