Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborers to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves working on various landscape construction projects, including residential and commercial installations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working outdoors and a willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping and construction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of landscape features including plants, trees, shrubs, sod, pavers, retaining walls, irrigation systems, and water features
- Operate machinery and equipment such as loaders, excavators, trenchers, and brush cutters
- Perform tasks related to construction management including site preparation and layout.
- Collaborate with team members on projects involving construction estimating and material selection.
- Fabricate custom landscape elements as needed, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Execute trim carpentry tasks for outdoor structures like decks, fences, or planters.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Assist with site preparation and cleanup
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction
- Previous experience in landscaping or construction is required.
- Knowledge of construction management principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices is beneficial, but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Spanish language skills are a plus but not required
