Overview
e are seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Landscape Hardscape Foreman to oversee and manage the installation of hardscape elements for residential and commercial landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape construction, a passion for design, and the ability to lead and manage a team. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for ensuring that each project is completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Project Management & Supervision:
- Lead a crew of landscapers and hardscapers, ensuring the successful and timely execution of projects.
- Coordinate daily tasks and work schedules for crew members, assigning work based on project requirements and team strengths.
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and adheres to project specifications.
- Monitor progress and adjust work plans as necessary to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Installation of Hardscape Features:
- Oversee the installation of hardscape features such as patios, retaining walls, driveways, walkways, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, water features, and other landscape structures.
- Ensure proper materials, tools, and equipment are used and that they comply with safety standards.
- Oversee excavation, grading, and site preparation for hardscape projects.
- Ensure that all drainage and irrigation systems are properly integrated into hardscape installations.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure that the team is working in a safe environment, following OSHA guidelines and best practices.
- Identify and address potential hazards on the job site, ensuring safe operations at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Communication & Client Relations:
- Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Provide progress updates to clients and address any concerns or changes in the project scope.
- Ensure that client specifications are met and that projects are completed to their satisfaction.
- Team Leadership & Training:
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to crew members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to improve skills and efficiency.
- Address personnel issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure a strong team dynamic.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in landscape construction and hardscaping, with at least [X] years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Proven experience with hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape features.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of hardscape materials, tools, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and design plans.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with construction tools and machinery, including compactors, saws, and other heavy equipment.
- Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- OSHA Certification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Hardscape Installation Certification (e.g., ICPI or NCMA).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
