What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at A Lindberg & Sons?
A. Lindberg & Sons Inc. seeks to fill an opening for an Assistant Project Manager. This position will work with the project manager, foreman, and crew to successfully complete a wide range of construction projects. Projects will include, Highways and Bridges, Heavy Civil, Site Civil, and Public Infrastructure projects.
Duties:
- Work with the Project Manager, Foreman, and Crew to successfully complete projects on budget and on schedule
- Assist and coordinate all stages of construction projects including bidding, construction, closeout, and all other aspects
- Estimating, including quantity take-offs, subcontractor, and supplier solicitations
- Job Setup, including materials ordering and scheduling, permitting, certifications, job cost studies, verifying weekly production
- Field Work, including basic surveying, grade checking, verifying field conditions, supervision, and assisting craft labor as necessary
- Ability to communicate and convey information effectively with Clients, Owners, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Suppliers
- Ability to keep neat and accurate construction records and field notes
- Ability to learn and follow all company safety policies as well as OSHA, MIOSHA, and MSHA regulations.
- Work in conjunction and as a team with all employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Surveying (Preferred)
- Construction Experience 3 Years (Preferred)
- Surveying or Construction Staking Experience with Total Stations, GPS, or Drone (Preferred)
- Experience with Autocad Civil 3d (Preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft office products and Adobe
