About the Role
As a Team Leader in the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psycho-social assessments, treatment planning, therapy, community-based support, and advocacy to adults with serious mental illness and their families. Your role includes working collaboratively with the ACT team and community providers to ensure effective program operation and adherence to ACT fidelity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psycho-social assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and community-based support to adults with serious mental illness.
- Work with the ACT team and community providers to ensure efficient program operation and adherence to ACT fidelity standards.
- Assist with orientation and training of ACT team members and co-facilitate team meetings.
- Provide crisis intervention and on-call crisis coverage as needed.
- Offer clinical consultation to other on-call staff.
Skills & Requirements
- Education: Must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling with an LMSW, LLP, or LPC licensure from the State of Michigan.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years treating adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders (required). Experience in a community mental health setting preferred.
- Must be eligible for a Qualified Mental Health Professional designation at the time of hire.
- Must obtain a Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist credential within 120 days of hire.
- Must possess a CAADC credential or be on an active, approved MCBAP Development Plan within 6 weeks of hire.
- The Development Plan application must be submitted to MCBAP within 30 days of hire, with or without required training.
- Documentation of required trainings must be submitted within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
- Nonjudgmental approach with cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs of adults with mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Must possess and retain a Chauffeur’s License and meet driving eligibility requirements per the agency’s insurance policy.
Salary : $34 - $45
