- Authorization Specialist HighlightsThe pay for this position is $18.34 per hour.Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with training during the same hours for the first three weeks.Remote position, with the possibility of onsite work in the future.This position is a contract role.ResponsibilitiesComplete initial case reviews, confirm eligibility, and create authorizations post-admissions.Accurately and consistently document each call in the member's electronic record to meet compliance and regulatory standards.Protect member confidentiality, adhering to privacy / HIPAA policies.Support concurrent review nurses, respond promptly to provider inquiries, and address member concerns with empathy.Manage multiple priorities and adapt to change effectively.Build strong relationships with peers and Medicaid members.Enter authorizations within 24 hours of notification, process CON and RON documentation, and manage faxed medical records.Assist with discharges and research ASAM scores.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required.Proficiency in typing at 45 words per minute, with a minimum score of 6500 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour.1 years of experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.2 years of customer service, telemarketing, or sales experience preferred.Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and basic medical terminology experience.Flexibility to work outside standard business hours (8 : 00 AM - 9 : 00 PM EST).Benefits AvailableBenefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.If you are interested in this Authorization Specialist position, APPLY or contact kvaughn@alinestaffing.com.147073
