The CT Technologist will ensure the safety and comfort of patients, adhere to established protocols, and work efficiently in a collaborative environment.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- No on-call, no weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols.
- Maintain sterility of field and instruments during procedures.
- Prepare accurate requisitions for CT exams.
- Effectively communicate with patients and their families before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Verify patient identification according to AHS policy.
- Monitor the patient’s condition before and after contrast injections, alerting nursing staff and radiologists to any sudden changes.
- Ensure availability of medical records, prior reports, lab results, and patient history for each procedure.
- Respond to emergencies or complications, initiating emergency protocols when needed.
- Maintain adequate linen, contrast media, biopsy, and drainage supplies in scanning rooms.
- Follow established room assignments (CT 1, 2, and 3).
- Assist in maintaining CT storeroom inventory and participate in daily inventory and supply stocking.
- Notify Lead of any expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
- Clean and inventory supplies, and ensure routine cleaning of CT gantry, tables, and peripheral equipment after each use.
- As Point staff, triage procedures according to the daily schedule and coordinate emergency and unscheduled procedure requests.
- Assign staff to maintain efficient workflow while ensuring patient safety.
- Communicate with all departments and floors regarding patient status, ensuring prompt patient transport post-procedure.
- Assist in performing routine procedures and assess patient tolerance to contrast.
- Screen for allergies and medication incompatibilities.
- Ensure equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
- Adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols.
- For urgent cases such as Code Grey, Trauma, or Partial Trauma, acquire, process, and send images immediately per established protocols and notify the radiologist as images are sent.
- Ensure communication with radiologists regarding any unusual findings to optimize patient care.
Required Skills & Experience:

Education:
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Radiographer Technical Training Program or a College-based Radiography Program.
Certifications & Licensure:
- Required: ARRT RT (R), ARRT RT (CT), NJDEP New Jersey State X-Ray License, BLS Certification.
