Corrections RN Compensation:
- Pay rate: $45.00 per hour
- Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- 401(k) with company match available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on eligibility dates
Corrections RN Highlights:
- Schedule: 2nd shift, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM (40 hours guaranteed, every other weekend required)
- Location: Coxsackie, NY
- Local and travel candidates accepted
Corrections RN Responsibilities:
- Responds to and initiates care for medical emergencies, including performing CPR until relieved
- Administers and documents medications accurately
- Performs patient assessments, histories, and physicals, referring to appropriate healthcare providers as needed
- Assists Physicians in patient examinations and treatments
- Provides healthcare education to patients and correctional staff
- Collects lab samples, specimens, and cultures per Physician orders
- Follows safety and security protocols, including infection control procedures
- Performs venipuncture and IV therapy
- Uses personal protective equipment and follows standard precautions
Corrections RN Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Active CPR certification
- Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing nursing practice
- Completion of clinical competencies as assigned
