Denials Specialist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $19.00 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
Hours: Hours could be either 10am-7pm or 11am-8pm EST Monday – Friday with rotating weekend schedule
Denials Specialist Responsibilities
· The team works on correspondence for adverse notifications.
· Mail out documents to members and providers according to state and NCQA guidelines.
· Triaging work which would include communications to the medical directors and being a liaison to the care managers and the providers
· Typical task and breakdown would be 10% meetings 70% correspondence writing, 10% collaborations and 10% other tasks
Denials Specialist Requirements
- 2 years of medical processing or doctor’s office setting experience, clerical background is recommended
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Denials Specialist Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work in systems like Trucare and Amisys but not required.
- Critical thinking / Problem solving skills
- Dependability / flexibility
