Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Die Cutter Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining die-cutting machines to produce high-quality printed materials according to customer specifications. This role requires strong technical and leadership skills to oversee production efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Machine Operation & Maintenance :
Operate, troubleshoot, and monitor Die Cutter machines.
Perform make-ready tasks for high productivity and precision operations.
Adjust dies and registers for pressure and cutting to ensure high-quality output.
Make machine adjustments, clear jams, and maintain speed and quality during production.
Oversee and support general technicians working on equipment.
Quality Assurance :
Ensure jobs are completed accurately and exceed customer expectations.
Review production for quality and accuracy, resolving defects as necessary.
Complete and maintain quality checklists and adhere to ISO standards and cGMP, HACCP, and Chain of Custody requirements.
Safety Compliance :
Follow and enforce safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE and lifting equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, properly handling hazardous materials / waste.
Leadership & Communication :
Communicate accurate and courteous information to team members.
Provide coaching, training, and motivation to maintain high team performance.
Conduct team meetings and encourage efficient operations with clear expectations.
Requirements : Non-Negotiable :
Minimum of 3 years of Die Cutting experience in the folding carton industry.
Experience with die cutters that have blanking capability.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic computer and mathematical skills to compute percentages, weights, and measures.
Ability to perform additional tasks as required by department leads or management.
Physical Demands :
Prolonged standing, stooping, bending, and reaching.
Frequent lifting of over 60 lbs.
Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
Ability to rotate shifts and work overtime when required.
Nice-to-Have Skills :
Experience in the food / confectionery folding carton industry.
Ability to re-knife dies.
Experience with offline make-ready tasks such as EZ Press and Pinsetters.
