Compensation
The pay for this position is $34.10 per hour
Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
401(k) with company match offered after 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Highlights
This position is a contract assignment with the potential for permanent hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs
Required schedule: 2nd shift, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Overtime may be required to meet business needs
Responsibilities
Perform routine setup, operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on highly complex automated manufacturing equipment
Adjust and control machine settings to ensure efficient production
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance and repairs
Prioritize daily work to meet production and department goals
Support installation and removal of equipment and corrective maintenance tasks
Monitor production lines and evaluate equipment performance for repairs and improvements
Complete changeovers and operator-level preventive maintenance as needed
Assist with root cause analysis for process or product issues
Document all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance actions accurately
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams on improvement projects
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
AND one of the following:
Certificate plus 2 years of relevant experience
OR 4 years of relevant experience in fields such as Electrical/Electronics Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Electrician, Machine Repair, Welding Repair, etc.
Strong skills and experience in:
Hydraulics and pneumatic systems
Controls, sensors, vacuum systems, and motors
Electronics and electrical troubleshooting (up to 480 VAC)
Servo motors and understanding their function
Safety-conscious work habits
Temperature controllers – understanding their operation and failure modes
Sensor technologies
Basic math proficiency
Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Skilled with multimeters and basic plumbing (fluid and pneumatic)
Knowledge of power transmission systems (gearboxes, motors, belt and chain drives)
PC proficiency (Excel and Word)
Preferred Experience
Industrial control systems (instrumentation, ladder logic, VFDs, servos)
PLC operations, robotics, vision systems
Mechanical design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
SAP maintenance module or similar systems
Mill, lathe, welding, and bearing press usage
