Lab Technician
Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Job Summary:
A leading global medical technology company in Northern NJ is seeking a Lab Technician 1 to support daily test lab activities, equipment qualification, test method validation (TMV) development, and lab engineering projects. The ideal candidate will work under supervision to perform bench-level engineering tests for design verification (DV), stability, feasibility, and test method developments (TMD).

Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience with Instron Software programs Blue-Hill 3 or Blue-Hill Universal & Tensile/Compression Testing.
- Proficient communication skills (written/verbal).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Good mathematical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to collect, record, and report data accurately.
- Developing technical writing and root cause analysis skills.
- Preferred: Experience in operating and troubleshooting mechanical test equipment.
- Preferred: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and TEAMs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute minimally complex test requests with moderate supervision.
- Address minimally complex issues with supervisor assistance.
- Work on moderately complex projects with oversight.
- Support equipment qualification (IQ, OQ) and TMV development.
- Assist TMD and Ver/Val teams.
- Troubleshoot test inconsistencies and communicate with requestors for resolution.
- Maintain Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Contribute to process simplification tools for lab operations.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree – No prior experience required, OR
- Associate in Applied Science (AAS) – No prior experience required, OR
- High School Diploma – Minimum of 4 years of experience in a regulated industry/laboratory setting.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for long periods while performing tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a laboratory environment with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Potential exposure to chemicals or human body fluids for testing.
