Manufacturing Automation Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $30.61 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Manufacturing Automation Technician Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Work Schedule:
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Training Schedule (First 2 Months): 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Must be flexible and available for overtime as required
Manufacturing Automation Technician Responsibilities
- Perform routine setup, operation, preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repairs on AutoPak equipment.
- Adjust machine settings and ensure production quality, uptime, and minimal waste levels.
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance, including preventive repairs, adjustments, and inspections.
- Independently manage multiple production lines, including setup and changeovers.
- Work within Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality protocols.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for process or product exceptions and document all relevant maintenance activities.
- Work with external contractors and vendors as needed.
Manufacturing Automation Technician Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience in a relevant field (or 4 years without a formal degree).
- Relevant Fields:
- Electrical/Electronics Technician
- Electromechanical Technician
- Mechanical Engineering Technician
- Industrial Programmer
- Electrician
- Machine Builder/Repairer
- Machinist
- Refrigeration Mechanic
- Welding Repairer
Manufacturing Automation Technician Preferred Qualifications
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience with industrial control systems, PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP maintenance modules or similar computerized systems.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or mechanical design software.
