Overnight Long-Term Care Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $60.00 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Overnight Long-Term Care Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is overnight shift: 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Overnight Long-Term Care Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration
- Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and facility staff as appropriate
- Maintain patient/resident database, including medical history, clinical data, and concurrent medications
- Ensure appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide clinical and technical support
- Document communication with physicians, nurses, healthcare team members, and patients/residents in medical records
- Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies
- Report medication-related errors to the Pharmacy Manager
- Assist facility staff with procedures related to drug procurement, maintenance, administration, and disposal
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Overnight Long-Term Care Pharmacist Requirements
- Pennsylvania Pharmacy License (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred)
- One year of experience in long-term care
- Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, and a team player
- Excellent oral communication skills
