A-Line Staffing is now hiring Printing Press Operators in Canaan, CT. The Printing Press Operator would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be a full-time position with 40 hours per week.
Printing Press Operator Compensation :
The pay for this position is $30 per hour.
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Printing Press Operator Highlights :
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
The required availability for this position is 10 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM.
Printing Press Operator Responsibilities :
Check quality and correctness of printing mats, properly setting up, aligning, and affixing printing mats to printing sleeves or mandrel.
Inspect raw materials to ensure the correct web stock and ink are being used for the top webs to be processed.
Place roll of web material stock on press and check web material for correctness.
Operate the printing press in a manner that ensures high-quality product output.
Perform cleanup and preventative maintenance of printing and slitting equipment as per equipment manuals and Quality Control requirements.
Make repairs on printing and slitting equipment and assist Tool Room or Maintenance with major repairs.
Perform inventory control and record printing inks, mats, and paper stock usage.
Schedule internal processing of web materials to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime during changeovers.
Complete all material transfers between departments.
Maintain a proper inventory of spare parts for quick changeovers on the press.
Set up and process web materials on web label slitting equipment as necessary.
Maintain a clean work area to meet GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
Report any safety hazards to supervision immediately.
Report production and waste according to the latest accounting methods.
Maintain product quality and complete required quality inspection sheets in line with BD Medical Procedural Solutions business unit standards.
Experience with Flexographic printing equipment is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect quality at all stages of production.
