Job Title :  Product Manager, PLM

Location :  Hybrid Work Environment, San Diego, CA

Job Summary :

We are seeking a  Product Manager, PLM  to take ownership of the enterprise-level Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process, focusing on transitioning customers from legacy technologies to modern solutions. This role will manage the entire product lifecycle, with an emphasis on  end-of-life (EOL) processes  and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing cross-functional programs, leveraging business intelligence tools, and ensuring seamless integration across hardware, software, and third-party products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Product Lifecycle Management :  Oversee all aspects of the product lifecycle, from  market introductions  to  end-of-life (EOL) , ensuring customer compliance and an optimized customer experience.
  • EOL Processes :  Manage the retirement of products, ensuring seamless transitions for customers while maximizing in-market solution value.
  • Data Systems and Analytics :  Utilize advanced tools such as  Power BI ,  Tableau ,  Alteryx , and  SAP  to manage data analytics, create dashboards, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :  Partner with teams across Marketing, Product Development, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to align goals, prioritize projects, and manage PLM frameworks.
  • Customer Transition Programs :  Develop and execute strategies to migrate customers from legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Project Management :  Lead PLM program reviews, implement industry best practices, and recommend sustainable PLM processes.
  • Third-Party Software Management :  Oversee third-party software and hardware, ensuring compatibility and integration throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications :

  • Experience :
  • 5 years  in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), with extensive experience managing  end-of-life (EOL) processes .
  • 5 years  working with  data systems  and  business intelligence tools  such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Alteryx.
  • 5 years  in product or program management within a regulated environment (preferably healthcare).
  • Proven experience with  third-party software and hardware  integration, from inception to EOL.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Advanced expertise in  Microsoft Excel ,  data curation , and  dashboard development .
  • Experience setting up and leveraging  Power BI dashboards .
  • Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, healthcare-related field, or information / data science.
  • Soft Skills :
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Critical thinker with a "figure it out" mindset and a collaborative, team-player attitude.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • PLM Expertise :
  • 3 years  directly working in a PLM role or managing PLM-related projects.
  • Experience launching products, managing lifecycle evolution, and executing EOL strategies.
  • Commercial Experience :
  • Successfully brought products to market and led transitions from legacy to modern platforms.
  • Certifications :
  • Scrum, Product Owner, or other relevant certifications.

    • Must-Have Skills :

  • Product Lifecycle Management (5 years) :  Extensive experience with  end-of-life (EOL)  processes, market introductions, and retirement strategies.
  • Commercial Program Development :  Proven ability to transition customers from  legacy systems  to modern solutions.
  • Third-Party Software Integration :  Strong experience managing applications and servers across third-party platforms.
  • Business Intelligence and Data Analytics :  Expertise in curating and presenting data, leveraging tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx to set up dashboards and provide insights.
