Research and Development Intern Details and Compensation:
- Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84116 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $19-25/hr
- Required Availability: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM | Part-time schedule during the academic year (~20 hours/week) and up to 40 hours/week in the summer (optional).
Research and Development Intern Summary and Highlights:
As part of the R&D Engineering team, the Research and Development Intern will assist in designing, developing, and implementing new products, processes, test methods, and equipment. Join us and make a difference in advancing innovation!
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

Research and Development Intern Responsibilities:
- Support engineering assignments using fundamental principles.
- Draft and process documentation through approval cycles.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain professional relationships.
- Provide technical support on components, materials, systems, and equipment.
- Develop and execute test requirements to meet specifications and regulations.
- Write, review, and conduct testing based on protocols and methods.
- Complete validation studies for equipment and processes.
- Analyze design inputs and perform design controls.
- Deliver project updates and technical presentations.
Research and Development Intern Requirements:
- Education: Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field - Typically a Junior or Senior in the program.
- Basic technical writing and ability to read drawings.
- Understanding and application of engineering principles.
- Familiarity with descriptive statistics and data analysis.
- Problem-solving, software application, and presentation skills.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
Work Environment:
- Office and laboratory setting.
- May involve lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally.
