What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at A-Line Staffing Solutions?
Pay Rate: $15.50/hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Initial Duties:
- Wrap pallets and prepare them for shipping.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as assigned.
Potential Expanded Role:
- Operate forklifts and perform traditional warehouse duties if extended beyond the initial project.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Use various equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials and products.
- Maintain records as needed.
Job Requirements:
Experience and Training:
- Forklift experience is required, even though initial tasks may not involve driving.
- Up to 1 year of warehouse or related experience is preferred.
- Training or certifications in material handling, logistics, or similar areas are beneficial.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of operational processes, including material handling and logistics.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Basic math and computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move over 50 lbs.
- Perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, and climbing.
- Work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures, vibrations, and moving mechanical parts.
