Compensation

• The pay for this position is between $28-$32 per hour.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs.
• The required availability for this position is 2nd Shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) and a rotating schedule every two weeks.
• Week 1: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
• Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
• Every other weekend will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with the provision of personal hygiene and activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, dressing, moving/lifting patients, providing preventive skin care, brushing teeth, trimming nails, changing bedding and incontinence pads, and collecting vital signs.
• Measure height and weight, track fluid intake and output, and make observations of patient conditions.
• Timely report and document all patient findings.
• Assist with doctors’ sick call and rounds.
• Respond to emergencies by providing emergency care, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Document patient care and maintain cleanliness of patient areas and equipment.
• Make beds and maintain overall cleanliness.
• Escort patients as needed and communicate with patients to assess and address their needs.
• Review shift report from the preceding shift and communicate effectively with healthcare staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be listed on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry and possess CPR certification for healthcare professionals.
• Minimum of 6 months of work experience as an STNA.
• Basic knowledge of addition and subtraction and the ability to apply departmental, state, and federal laws and regulations related to direct patient care.
• Ability to use lifts, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, and electric beds.
• Ability to move, position, and lift 50-100 pounds.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions in written and oral forms.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with providing direct patient care.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.
