What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oil Processor Operator (2nd Shift) position at A-Line TDS?
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Detox Supervisor, this position is responsible for the duties of processing oil. The Oil Processor operates equipment to remove water content from the oil. This position is also responsible for unloading trucks and frac tanks, as well as maintaining records of oil flow. Hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Training will be from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm for the first five weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Operates dehydrators and a centrifuge equipment to safely remove the water content from the Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) oil
- Opening and closing valves on the tanks
- Unloading tankers and frac tanks
- Maintaining accurate records for oil flow, tanks, inventory, etc. within software system
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work
- General computer skills
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with oil tanks and valves preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to routinely lift 50 lbs. at a time
- Have the ability to stand, bend and climb ladders and frac tanks and tankers
- Ability to use multiple hand tools
Working Conditions
This is a physically demanding position. The employee will stand for eight or more hours. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works inside and/or outside and is exposed to all weather elements, including: extreme heat, wind, rain, snow, and freezing temperatures. The employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, climb, twist, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to use fingers, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. They will use a variety of hand and power tools as well as operate heavy equipment. The employee will be exposed to noise, heavy vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
