Direct Service Provider (DSP)

A Loving Place Group Home is staffed by special people, and when you become a Direct Care Staff colleague, you join a growing family dedicated to providing companionship, a helping hand, and other non-medical care for adults with disabilities.

We are currently seeking highly dependable, mature, and reliable Direct Care Staff who love to care for people and want to make a difference in the lives of others.

We are currently seeking staff for afternoons/evenings, some overnights, and for weekend shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing and/or providing guidance with preparing meals
• Assisting clients with, as well as performing household chores, such as mopping floors, vacuuming carpets and rugs, cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry, etc.
• Transporting clients to doctor appointments and other outings
• Administer medication (if qualified).
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Be present for virtual doctor appointments
• Document daily notes

QUALIFICATIONS

• The qualities of a Direct Care Staff: Compassionate, Caring, Mature, Flexible, Communicator, Honest & Trustworthy, Diligent
• Able to follow spoken and written instructions and document services provided
• Able to function independently in the home setting with minimal direct supervision
• Able to maintain satisfactory relationships with clients, family, and team members
• Able to stand, sit, walk, reach, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds
• Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
• Reliable transportation
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Flexible schedule
• A "clean" driving record is preferred
