*Position Overview:*

The Automotive Sales Representative is responsible for selling used vehicles at a car dealership. This role involves understanding customer needs, presenting suitable vehicle options, and guiding clients through the purchasing process. The ideal candidate is a motivated, customer-focused individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. *Customer Interaction:*

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

- Listen to customer needs and preferences to recommend appropriate vehicles.

- Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle features and benefits.

2. *Sales Process:*

- Present and explain vehicle specifications, pricing, and financing options.

- Negotiate sales terms and close deals to meet sales targets.

- Follow up with potential customers to build relationships and secure sales.

3. *Product Knowledge:*

- Stay informed about the latest vehicle models, features, and industry trends.

- Attend training sessions and product demonstrations to enhance knowledge.

4. *Administrative Tasks:*

- Complete necessary paperwork, including sales contracts and financing documents.

- Coordinate with the finance and insurance (F&I) department to ensure smooth transactions.

- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.

5. *Customer Service:*

- Provide exceptional after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction.

- Address customer concerns and resolve any issues promptly.

- Build long-term relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.

6. *Team Collaboration:*

- Work closely with other sales team members and dealership staff to achieve collective goals.

- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.

*Qualifications:*

- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree is a plus.

- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the automotive industry.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.

- Knowledge of automotive products and market trends.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

*Work Environment:*

- Typically works in a dealership showroom and on the sales lot.

*Compensation:*

- Base salary plus commission and bonuses based on sales performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,385.00 - $66,594.00 per year

Compensation Package:

  • Commission pay

Schedule:

  • No nights

Ability to Relocate:

  • Edgewood, MD 21040: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
