POSITION NAME: Operator
LOCATION: Bartlesville, OK
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Participate in daily tailgate safety meetings.
- Read and interpret site-specific safety plans; may be amended daily.
- Read and interpret equipment operator’s manuals.
- Read and interpret load charts for corresponding rigging equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment with Trimble or Topcon grade control.
- Operate haul trucks.
- Finish operator capable adhering to /- 0.1/foot tolerance
- Work in areas of uneven terrain.
- Assist in the training of new or less-skilled Equipment Operators.
- Read and comprehend site-specific rules, maintenance instructions, training manuals, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), warning tags, traffic signs, and procedure manuals.
- Communicate both effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, on the telephone, via two-way radio, and in writing.
- Must wear required PPE while performing job duties.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Execute tasks from detailed written and oral instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Candidate must be able to pass drug screen, physical and criminal background check
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide both whole numbers and fractions
- Ability to interpret load charts and estimate weight
- Ability to tolerate dust and noise resulting from construction activities or remediation of contaminated soil
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Successfully pass all required training
PREFERRED:
- Experience with behavior-based safety programs (e.g., LPS)
- CDL License
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER training
- Four (4) years’ experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, road graders, and all-terrain off-road haul trucks
