Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting or community outing.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals in meal preparation and medication administration
- Engage in social activities and provide companionship
- Implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure holistic care
Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have one year of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or childcare setting, or in working with recipients having developmental disabilities.
- Must pass a Background screening (Level 2)
- Must pass local background.
- Proof of meeting High school diploma/GED (original copies of transcripts)
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation
- Must provide proof of active Auto Insurance
- Complete W-9 form.
- Must complete Medication Training
- Must complete HIPAA Training
- Must complete Direct core competencies training.
- Must complete HIV training within the first 30 days of hire.
- Can lift up to 30 lbs
- Self driven and motivated
