Position Summary:
A-MAX Insurance seeks a Facilities Manager to lead a team of Facilities Coordinators and create a safe, professional work environment. This role involves strategic planning and daily operations to ensure efficient facility management while collaborating with Real Estate, IT, Sales, and Operations. The Facilities Manager will focus on improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining an optimal working environment. Job Responsibilities:

Facilities Staff Development & Maintenance Management:
-
Coach and develop facilities staff to improve repair, maintenance, and operational efficiencies.

Manage daily/weekly maintenance requests, ensuring business continuity at retail locations.

Implement root cause analysis for equipment failures and apply findings across sites.

Vendor & Project Management:
-
Procure vendors, manage service level agreements, and oversee predictive maintenance programs.

Prepare scopes, solicit proposals, and coordinate repair and construction services with third-party providers.

Manage high work order ticket volume and multi-site maintenance operations.

Budget & Reporting:
-
Track maintenance budgets and provide regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly).

Collaborate with the VP of Facilities on financial and operational planning.

Risk, Safety, and Compliance:
-
Execute risk management and safety programs, ensuring facilities comply with health, safety, and legal standards.

Lead central services (security, cleaning, waste disposal, recycling) and maintain building safety.

Emergency Response & Asset Management:
-
Respond to after-hour and weekend facility issues (HVAC, electrical, fire alarms, water leaks).

Manage company-owned vehicle maintenance and asset tracking.

Provide expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring minimal operational disruptions.

Position Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, or Finance strongly preferred
-
Without a degree at least 8 years of relevant experience in facilities or operation management is preferred

Multi-unit management, retail preferred

Budget management experience
-
3 years of management experience is required

Knowledge of all building components
-
Proficient project planning skills and data analysis

Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

Available to travel based on the business requirements
