Program Specialist/Assistant Director (Childcare)

A Mother's Love Childcare is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about providing a high-quality educational program. The Program Specialist plays a vital role in not only bringing our curriculum to life, but also mentoring teachers. In this role, you’ll develop and implement programs, continuously enhancing the experience for both teachers and children.

As a Program Specialist, you will:

• Ensure our curriculum is delivered as intended, enabling teachers to effectively communicate what children are learning.
• Spend time in the classroom, educating children while mentoring and modeling for teachers.
• Train, motivate, and lead staff.
• Contribute to AML's success by partnering with staff and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives.
• Aid in the planning of monthly theme-based activities and creating newsletters.

Qualifications:

• Ability to build strong relationships with families and colleagues, creating a vibrant environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong background in child development and teaching skills.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Knowledge of state licensing requirements
• Meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
• Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Capable of adopting low postures to maintain physical and visual contact with children, with sufficient hearing and sight to ensure their safety, and engage in physical activities with them.
• Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and speaking English to effectively communicate with children and their parents.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
