NANNY / HOUSEHOLD ASSISTANT NEEDED! POSITION FOR AN EXPERIENCED NANNY!
Job Overview : A loving family in Woodbridge, VA, is seeking an experienced, kind, patient, and energetic nanny to care for their almost 3-year-old daughter. The family is looking for a long-term nanny to become an integral part of their household and childcare team.This position begins in January 2025 and requires a highly engaged caregiver who will foster a safe, fun, and enriching environment.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience working with toddlers and be willing to travel with the family on occasion. The role also involves assisting with family household duties, ensuring a smooth, organized home life for the family.
Schedule :
Care Days & Hours : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday : 12 : 00 PM - 8 : 00 PM and a Saturday shift with varying hours : 10 : 00 AM - 10 : 00 PM. Flexibility to travel with the family for vacation trips.
Key Responsibilities :
- Childcare & Engagement :
- Provide attentive, loving care to the child, engaging in age-appropriate activities such as reading, play, singing, and dancing.
- Follow a daily schedule directed by the parents, ensuring that the child's needs are met.
- Maintain safety at all times, closely monitoring the child for any safety concerns or signs of illness.
- Engage in active outdoor play and walks, promoting physical development and curiosity.
- Encourage age-appropriate conversations, interactions, and learning activities.
- Provide meals and snacks as required, ensuring they are nutritious and age-appropriate.
- Assist with toileting and ensure the child rests as needed.
- Communicate regularly with the parents about the child's well-being, activities, and any changes in health or behavior.
- Household Support :
- Keep the kitchen and general areas tidy and clean after meals and activities.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the child (e.g., tidying up toys, laundry).
- Help with family errands as needed, especially related to childcare or food preparation.
- Travel :
- Willingness to travel with the family on occasional vacation trips, assisting with childcare during travel.
