Job Overview
We are seeking motivated graduates/trainees to join our team as Class A Trainees. This position is designed for those who are eager to learn and develop their skills in the trucking industry. As a Class A Trainee, you will receive hands-on training and guidance from experienced professionals while gaining the necessary knowledge to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Learn to operate a tractor-trailer, automatic transmissions.
- Assist in route driving under the supervision of a qualified driver trainer.
- Gain experience in handling various types of freight.
- Participate in pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Understand and follow all safety regulations and company policies related to commercial driving.
- Develop skills in effective delivery driving, including route planning and time management.
- Straightforward 6 to 8-week training program, driving on day 1*.
Skills
- Strong desire to learn about truck driving and the transportation industry.
- Basic understanding of route driving principles.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a plus.
- Experience is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail while on the road.
- MUST have completed an approved truck driving school and obtained a Class A license before approval, no permit holders.
*$80 day (minimum) while with the trainer, then earn cpm based on experience.
