Location: Upper East Side, NYC
Schedule: Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (there is some room for flexibility for the right candidate)
Children’s ages: 4.5 month old & 3 year old
Ideal start date: ASAP
Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- The primary responsibility will be caring for the older child (3 year old girl), while the family’s full-time nanny, who has been with them for years, primarily cares for the younger. However, the nanny should feel comfortable caring for both children as needed and working as part of a team to support the family and household.
- Engaging and stimulating the children with age-appropriate activities
- Bottle feedings and sterilization of equipment
- Diaper changes and supporting healthy hygiene
- Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (walking, eating solids, sleep/potty training)
- Daily walks
- Help maintain the children’s schedules (regular feedings, play, exercise, naps)
- Help manage the children’s laundry
- Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag
- Tidying up the children’s rooms and the main spaces where the children eat and play
- Cultivating a warm and nurturing environment
The Ideal Candidate is engaging, nurturing, reliable, compassionate, open, honest, knowledgeable about child development, and enthusiastic about nurturing the children’s curiosity and interests.
Must have excellent communication skills, excellent references, and sound judgment.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of nanny experience with infants
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- 2–3 strong, relevant references.
- Infant CPR certified (or willing to renew certification).
- Up-to-date on vaccinations, including Tdap, MMR, COVID, and flu.
Compensation: approximately $30.00 per hour.
Benefits: Paid major holidays that land on regularly scheduled work days, 2-3 paid sick days per year.
