ROTA Nanny

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a collaborative, supportive household and provide care for a sweet and engaging family. 

ROTA Nanny Needed – Position based in White Plains, NY

Primary Locations: White Plains (Westchester), NYC, and Jackson Hole

Children’s Ages: 9-month-old twins and 2.5 yrs. The nanny will primarily be working with the twins; however, the position is the family’s nanny, so the ideal candidate would be able to work with the older child as well. The older child has 2 ROTA Nannies of his own. 

Ideal Start Date Trials for the position will be held during the week of May 5th. The start date is ideally May. 

Schedule: 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off throughout the year. Flexibility is needed to align with travel arrangements. 

Travel: Winters in Jackson Hole (from December to March), occasional travel throughout the year. The family’s primary residence is in White Plains, NY, and they have homes in NYC and Jackson Hole. The family will provide airfare on off-weeks while traveling. 

The Ideal Candidate:

• A warm, loving, and experienced nanny with at least 5 years of full-time nanny experience and with multiple children in the same family. Bonus for twins experience! 
• A team player mindset and can work well with the parents, independently, and with other nannies. 
• Proactive, attentive, and takes initiative.
• Seeking a long-term nanny position with a family. 
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
• Punctual, reliable, and professional demeanor while fostering a warm and nurturing atmosphere.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs, occasional travel, and other family requirements.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Everything related to the well-being of the children. 
• Engaging the children with fun and appropriate activities.
• Supporting the achievement of appropriate milestones (walking, eating solids, sleep/potty training, learning to read)
• Diaper changes.
• Bottle feedings and sterilization of equipment.
• Maintaining the children’s nap and eating schedules.
• Bathing and bedtime routine
• Children’s laundry.
• Meal preparation for the children.
• Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag.
• Walks, reading, indoor and outdoor play.
• Arranging playdates transportation to and from activities 
• Keeping the main spaces of the home and the child’s room clean and tidy.
• Accompanying the family on occasional travels.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant FT nanny experience, specifically with infants and toddlers.
• 3 years of FT nanny experience working with multiple children in the same family. 
• Driver’s license and experience driving with children on the job.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• 2-3 valid references
• Flexibility for travel.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds. 
• Occasional overnights are needed in NYC (typically about 5 per month)

• Experience with twins

Accommodations: the position in NY can be live-in or live-out. The live-in accommodations include a private bedroom and a bathroom on the same floor that is separate from the family’s bedrooms and the main spaces. 

Compensation: an average rate of approximately $40 /hour base rate, with overtime, depending on live-in or live-out. This equates to an annualized base compensation of approximately $100,000 per year. Additional overtime hours will be offered throughout the year. 

Benefits: 40 hours of PTO. 1.5x holiday pay when on rotation (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day). Health insurance stipend. Other benefits can be negotiated for the right candidate.
