Job Summary:
A National Transit, LLC / MARTA Mobility is seeking a dedicated individual for a dual role as a Utilities Worker and Lot Attendant. This position is responsible for fueling, maneuvering, and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, as well as ensuring their readiness and cleanliness. The role also involves coordinating vehicle assignments, inspections, and supporting overall fleet management.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilities Worker Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Fueling:
- Fuel all vehicles.
- Replenish necessary fluids.
- Log and record fueling and fluid replenishment information accurately.
- Vehicle Handling:
- Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Maintenance Support:
- Perform light maintenance tasks in shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
- Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Vehicle Cleaning:
- Clean and detail the interiors and exteriors of vehicles to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Additional Tasks:
- Complete any additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Lot Attendant Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Assignment:
- Allocate vehicles to drivers based on the daily schedule and availability.
- Vehicle Startup and Inspection:
- Start vehicles and perform initial inspections to ensure they are ready for rollout.
- Check Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Vehicle Movement:
- Safely move vehicles within the lot to designated areas.
- Take vehicles to fuel stations or maintenance shops as required.
- Record Keeping:
- Accurately record vehicle mileage and log information.
- Coordination:
- Collaborate with dispatch to ensure bus availability.
- Work with the maintenance team to ensure timely bus availability.
- Driver Support:
- Encourage and ensure driver compliance with lot regulations.
- Assist drivers in preparing vehicles for rollout.
Schedule:
- Monday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Utilities Worker)
- Saturday, Sunday: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Lot Attendant)
- Off Days: Tuesday and Wednesday
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to operate and maneuver various types of vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
