Job Status: Exempt
Job Summary:
To assist the Chief Administration Officer (CAO) with all items focused on the administration of staff, staff files, benefits, engagement, and retention, and recruitment.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Establishes a positive relationship with staff, clients, vendors, and funding agencies, ensuring the A New Leaf Human Resources Department is always friendly and welcoming.
2. Works with CAO, establishing effective recruitment and engagement activities to provide a consistent flow of qualified new employees and the development of existing employees. Providing the administrative support to allow for timely onboarding of staff.
3. Maintains human resource information systems, ensuring data is correct and working within the entire system to ensure effective use.
4. Enhances and supports the ability to manage financial, human resources/operational, decision-making and record keeping processes (time-studies, trainings, units, etc.). Develops short and long term strategies to support the needs. Reviews and recommends system enhancements.
5. Assists CAO with compliance with all Affordable Care Act requirements as well as legal filings such as IRS 1095-C, 990, W2s, and any other state and city documents.
6. Develops companywide recruitment strategies to assist in the effective employment of new staff members.
7. Maintains confidentiality in regards to all financial information, client and staff issues, correspondence and reports.
Requirements
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Criminal arrest check will be done through the OSBI; any person with a felony conviction will not work for A New Leaf (Section 1025.1 et seq. Of Title 56 of the Oklahoma statues, House Bill 1790). A background check will be requested form the OSBI. Any prospective employee with a felony or misdemeanor conviction, guilty plea or plea of nolo contendere will not be eligible for employment. This prohibition may be disregarded if an appropriate waiver is obtained from the Office of the Director, Developmental Disabilities Service Division, Department of Human Services, or his/her designees, and the Board of Trustees of A New Leaf approves such waiver.
- Employees and A New Leaf are engaged in an at-will employment relationship, meaning that either are free to terminate the relationship at any time with or without reason and with or without notice.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age – 21 years old
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in the Human Resources/Recruiting field preferred.
- Expressed desire to work with persons with developmental disabilities.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office package.
- Must have reliable transportation, current vehicle insurance and valid driver's license.
- Final hiring pending on OSBI background check, Clean driving record, and pre-employment screening
