What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academy Student Life Activity Specialist, Part-Time position at A New Leaf?
This position is Part time working Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 10pm, $17 an hour.
Job Summary: Under general supervision, supports the development, implementation, and administration of on and off campus recreational/community integration programs and activities. Assist in the retention, health and wellness of A New Leaf Transition Academy Students, within the academy's co-curricular environment.
Essential Functions
- Carry out and assist with the development of on and off campus recreational and community integration events and calendars.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of incident, shift and other documents/reports.
- Ability to order materials and knowledgeable understanding of fiscal management.
- Ability to design, prepare, deliver, and modify activities to meet the needs of I/DD and or Autism.
- Transport students to and from scheduled academy student life events.
- Assist with quarterly academy assemblies and graduation.
- Work closely with Residential Life staff.
- Able to be flexible and complete tasks as unforeseen events arise.
- Abide by the agency and state policies and procedures.
- Case Management.
- Model, mentor, and motivate the value of appropriate and effective independent living standards and workforce success.
- Highly developed organizational, time management, human relations and interpersonal communication and writing skills; self-motivated, flexible, and creative.
