The Community Engagement Coordinator will play a pivotal role in advancing A New Leaf's mission by fostering meaningful relationships with community stakeholders, volunteers, and donors. This position will be responsible for coordinating and executing engagement initiatives that enhance community awareness, involvement, and support for A New Leaf’s programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building connections, organizing events, and managing volunteer activities, ensuring that our community outreach efforts align with the organization's goals and values. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and a commitment to driving positive change in the community.
Pay Rate: $24.04
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm
Location: Phoenix & Mesa, AZ
Events: Available for events outside of normal business hours on occasion
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or GED required.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience with recruiting, coordinating, and supervising volunteers for projects.
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage with diverse communities.
Demonstrated experience with public speaking and presentations.
Experience using Customer or Donor Relationship Management System
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Develop, coordinate, and maintain a wide range of community engagement opportunities to promote the integration of volunteers, donations, and other resources throughout the organization.
Cultivate and promote positive relationships with new, and develop existing partnerships with corporations, faith-based groups, service groups, key stakeholders, staff, volunteers, and online community service platforms to support program needs.
Develop and execute community engagement strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of our organization.
Serve as an ambassador for the agency to strategically connect community partners with opportunities to support programs and to promote deeper engagement through grants and sponsorships.
Increase awareness of the organization, its services, its clients, and the role and responsibilities of volunteers and donors; including but not limited to, presenting to community and corporate groups, facilitating program tours, preparing written correspondence, facilitating virtual meetings and presentations, participating in committees, and conducting outreach to new prospects.
Track and analyze engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of community engagement efforts and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain engagement records and related documents in database.
Coordinate group volunteer projects, meal preparation/service, and special activities with programs.
Coordinate in-kind donations for programs, including holiday giving.
Act as a liaison between volunteers and the organization to ensure that program staff are trained and prepared for arrival of volunteers, and that all necessary tools, resources, and materials are readily available and that all staff understand details and expectations.
Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support community engagement efforts, events, and initiatives.
