The part time emloyees work four 7 hours days for a total of 28 hours per week and full time emloyees work Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm for a total of 40 hours per week. Job coaches are vocational supervisors for clients with developmental disabilities. This position helps clients learn appropriate work skills, attitudes and behaviors, following least intrusive training techniques. Insures that clients served are trained sufficiently to complete assigned work according to job description and customers standards. Utilizes training techniques to insure production levels are met. Secures employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
A New Leaf, Tulsa, Oklahoma’s most renowned nonprofit habilitation training services organization is currently looking for experienced, compassionate and devoted vocational trainers, full time and part time.
Established in 1979, A New Leaf exists to provide a place for adults with developmental disabilities to learn work skills, have a safe work environment, to develop their own peer group and be a productive member of the working society. Using horticultural therapy, we seek to cultivate work-skill training in our greenhouse, two retail locations and other community locations, as a means to provide world-class residential and vocational programs to nurture those with developmental disabilities.
