The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) Shelter Teacher is responsible for providing bilingual (Spanish-English) education and support to unaccompanied minors residing in an ORR shelter. This role focuses on creating a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment that meets the educational, social, and emotional needs of the students while aligning with state and federal guidelines.
Pay : $56,212.00 / yearly
Shift & Schedule : Monday-Friday (7am-4pm) including optional lunch break
Location : Mesa, AZ
QUALIFICATIONS : Education :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university required
- Certification by the relevant governing authority, Teaching English as a Second Language / Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages certification or other appropriate accrediting body and additional training to meet the special needs of unaccompanied children.
- Spanish language skills, preferred.
