Position Title: Youth Care Worker (Bilingual - Spanish/English)
Hourly Pay Rate: $22.71
Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday; 9 PM – 7 AM

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School or GED required
- Associate degree in human services field, preferred
- Bilingual; possess effective verbal and written language skills in English and Spanish required
- Minimum 1-year experience working with youth.
- Basic computer literacy; including, navigating a Microsoft Windows operating system, Outlook email exchange, and online applications.
- Experience housekeeping and cooking, preferred.
- Experience working independently, preferred.
- Provide consistent "line of sight" supervision for clients. Instruct clients when to go to bed and facilitate clients getting ready to go to bed.
- Ensure client safety during sleep hours; continually walk hallways and conduct room checks at least every 15 minutes.
- Complete nightly bed count using Profiler and stay awake and alert during the entire overnight shift. Wake up clients in the morning and facilitate more hygiene routine.
- Monitor clients to make sure they are not in areas without permission such as bedroom, restroom, hygiene cabinet, and laundry room.
- Daily, check rooms for cleanliness and make sure all beds are made and items stored properly.
- Document (verbal/written) and submit significant and routine paperwork regarding client and programmatic activities; including, Significant Incident Reports/ Incident Reports (SIR/ IR), National School Lunch Program (NSLP) logs, and medication logs.
- Complete client Daily Progress Reports (DPR), daily. Accurately document client participation, behavior and activities through the shift.
- Complete shift report and enter NextGen data on the computer each night. Assist and monitor client's self-administration of prescribed medication.
- Drive clients to approved scheduled activities (i.e. school, appointments, etc.) in 12-14 passenger van and adhere to Agency driving policy and procedures.
- Maintain communication and perform tasks to assist in promoting the physical and emotional health of clients (i.e. nutrition, etc.)
- Provide verbal crisis intervention and counseling to clients. Provide for client needs within scope of program practices and policies.
- Collaborate with Clinical Team to observe, learn, practice, and effectively implement approved therapeutic interventions.
- Escort exiting clients to airport and flight gate. Support client exit by handling exit documents, picking up client ticket, explaining security check process, and coordinating with airline staff to escort unaccompanied minor.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must pass pre-employment drug test & various background checks
- Must be able to provide proof of Immunizations (Varicella, MMR, TDAP & Flu)
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
- Current Auto Liability Insurance.
- 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record.
- Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
