Director of Student Services

Overview
The Director of Student Services plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational experience for students by overseeing various programs and services that support their academic and personal development. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects, collaborate with faculty and staff, and implement effective policies that foster student success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education administration, curriculum development, and experience working directly with students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement student services programs that align with institutional goals and enhance student engagement.
• Oversee budgeting for student services, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate support services into the curriculum and academic advising.
• Lead recruitment efforts for student services staff, ensuring a diverse and qualified team.
• Manage projects related to student services initiatives, from conception to execution.
• Write grant proposals to secure funding for new programs and initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of student services programs through data analysis and feedback collection.
• Provide leadership in developing policies that promote a positive campus environment for all students.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education Administration, Social Work, or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in education teaching or administration.
• Strong skills in budgeting and financial management within an educational context.
• Demonstrated ability in curriculum development tailored to meet diverse student needs.
• Experience in recruiting and managing staff within an educational setting.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong written communication skills, particularly in grant proposal writing and reporting.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports all students.
• Experience with crisis intervention, case management, or community organizing
• Understands the unique challenges of middle and high school youth

This is a position centralized in SUSSEX COUNTY, Delaware.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
