A.O. Fox is seeking a skilled Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist I to join our team of medical professionals. As a Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist I, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiology department.
Responsibilities:
- Imaging Services
- Perform radiographic examinations as requested and in accordance with established protocols.
- Provide fluoroscopic assistance to Radiologists, including setting up sterile trays and preparing patients for examination.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and equipment.
- Patient Care
- Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Transport patients to and from examination rooms as needed.
- Department Support
- Maintain adequate levels of inventory in all diagnostic Radiology rooms.
- Restock supplies and clean and organize x-ray rooms after patient use.
- Clinical Expertise
- Stay up-to-date with continuing education requirements to maintain licensure and certifications.
- Participate in educational programs, workshops, and meetings to enhance professional growth and development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
- NYS temporary permit/license required; ARRT registration within 180 days of hire required.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
