What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistant (Aviation - Regulatory Affairs) position at A.P. Moller - Maersk?
About Maersk Air Cargo
Maersk Air Cargo (MAC) is owned completely by Maersk, one of the world's largest shipping companies and the biggest company in Denmark by revenue.
Originally established in 1987 and previously known as “Star Air”, we currently operate 19 cargo planes (17 older 767-200/300s and 2 brand-new 777Fs).
We operate for UPS out of Cologne (Germany) to destinations around Europe as well as for Maersk out of Billund (Denmark) primarily to China. Our headquarters is in Nordhavn, Copenhagen.
What We Can Offer
Maersk Air Cargo offers an open-minded workplace with an opportunity to take ownership and bring your ideas to life in order to reach the best outcome. Additionally, we pride ourselves in focusing on both professional and personal development while also offering great working conditions with a good and informal tone, where everybody contributes to solutions to the daily challenges across all departments.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Student Assistant, you will be working within our Regulatory Affairs department here at Maersk Air Cargo. You will work closely with our Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager and support her in structuring work processes and documentation, primarily in relation to air traffic rights and regulatory affairs in general. Ideally, you will lead the development of an online repository for all documentation within the department, create overviews, and analyse and optimise business processes. Much of the work will be routine-based, though you will have control over and responsibility for creating processes that work for you and your team
You are not expected to have any extensive knowledge of aviation regulation; this role is primarily about creating structure and supporting the digital transformation of the company. Your work in this role will have a direct impact on our operations as it will help us to ensure constant compliance with regulations across the many countries in which we operate.
You are expected to work 10-15 hours per week within normal working hours with flexibility during exam periods. Some work can likely be done from home/remotely, though you will mostly need to be present our offices in Nordhavn.
What We Are Looking For
Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking. Maersk is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applicants without regard to race, colour, gender, sex, age, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy or parental leave, veteran status, gender identity, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
