Role:
APV is seeking an experienced CDM or Provisioner to support the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistic Center (SFLC) Long Range Enforcer (LRE) product line. The SFLC LRE product line provides Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) and ELEX logistical support for USCG Cutters. The CDM/Provisioner we hire will be part of a 10-person APV delivery team supporting the continued development, updating, and revising of configuration, maintenance management, and provisioning of systems and equipment across all LRE assets. Candidates with CDM experience will, upon joining the team, receive cross-training in provisioning, while candidates with Provisioner experience will receive cross-training in configuration data management.
Duties:
The CDM/Provisioner will:
- Provide Organizational level (ship’s force) and Depot level (shoreside) support in the development, update, and verification stages of Maintenance Standards, Recurring Tasks, Maintenance Items, Configuration Items, Functional Descriptions, Cutter Maintenance Plans, Maintenance Requirements Lists, and CM-SETs.
- Provide updates/changes/corrections to property values for Configuration Item Functional Descriptions.
- Create, manage, migrate, and close out Baseline CM-SETs to related Platform Load List associated with Engineering Changes, Data Clean-up (DC), and as directed by the customer.
- Provide other sustainment support in the areas of Configuration Management for USCG Cutters.
- Complete any other Maintenance Standard or Configuration support tasks (i.e., training, presentation of data, analysis, running reports, etc.) in support of the configuration management and sustainment of LREPL assets.
- Perform LREPL Shipboard Configuration validations, Maintenance Requirements validation, Parts validation, and Allowance List validations.
- Create, manage, and update Maintenance Standards (MS) associated with Recurring Tasks, Maintenance Items, Engineering Changes, Cutter Maintenance Decks, Cutter Maintenance Plans, Data Clean-up, and as directed by the customer.
- Perform initial provisioning upon system acquisition or through an engineering change process.
- Perform re-provisioning of systems affected by major support or philosophy changes.
- Properly route Repair Code Determination forms based on research and item historical data.
- Create and routes Supply Support Requests to allow the Coast Guard to be an official user of other government agencies’ national stock numbers.
- Collaborate daily with USCG uniformed and civilian personnel.
- Provide input as requested by the Team Lead to support weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Attend designated meetings as directed by the Team Lead/PM
Education:
- Associate degree, Bachelor’s preferred; direct experience performing this work may be used to waive degree requirements
Required Skills:
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience as a CDM or Provisioner providing support to various USCG marine assets.
- Logistics, Supply, Maintenance Support, or Acquisitions experience.
- Experience working with logistics systems (especially Coast Guard/Navy logistics systems such as the Fleet Logistics System (FLS) and/or the Naval Engineering Supply Support System NESSS), and technical databases such as Haystack, WebFLIS, Fedlog, etc.
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Procedures Cards (MPC) in both legacy and Asset Computerized Maintenance System format.
- Basic understanding of preventative and corrective maintenance principles, MPC development, and corresponding MPC accomplishment.
- Capable of reviewing, analyzing, and processing configuration data from multiple government-maintained data sources provided in various formats.
- Comfortable using MS Office software (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Mail, Paint, Project, SharePoint).
- Experience as a uniformed member of the US Coast Guard or US Navy is not required; contractor or government civilian experience is completely acceptable.
- Able to pass a Department of Homeland Security background check
- Eligible to receive a Common Access Card
Preferred Skills:
- Physically capable of performing onboard validations of configuration equipment and parts data.
- Knowledge of SFLC supply support procedures
- Experience in the use of Coast Guard Standard Workstation III.
- Experience in Naval Engineering Supply Support System (NESSS), HM&E and/or electronics (ELEX) type Allowance Parts List (APL), Allowance Equipage List (AEL), and CASE creation and tracking capabilities.
