Role:
The Salesforce Developer will perform customizations and develop solutions on the Salesforce platform, ensuring high-quality code standards while collaborating in an Agile environment to meet customer needs and enhance application functionality.
Duties:
The Salesforce Developer will:
- Perform declarative customizations and develop custom solutions using the Salesforce platform.
- Use the best development practices to ensure high-quality code standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs.
- Test the stability and functionality of the application.
- Follow the team’s established Agile processes, which include both short- and long-term planning, cross-functional support, and demonstrating working software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Salesforce platform and data structure, and how to leverage out of box functionality to meet customer needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Certification:
- Salesforce Administrator certification required
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification desired
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder desired
Required Skills:
- 3 years of relevant experience or a combination of relevant experience and education.
- At least 3 years of Salesforce application development.
- Experience with Salesforce platform development, including SFDC APIs, REST-based web services, XML, Apex, SOQL, JavaScript, Visualforce pages, connected apps, single sign-on, and Lightning Web Components.
- Experience with Salesforce data model and data migration using Data Loader and/or Integration tools.
- Experience with Salesforce declarative development including flow builder, field-level security, profiles, permission sets, and custom field management.
- Experience with software development life cycle with DevOps process and tools such as Bitbucket pipelines and yml.
- Working knowledge of agile lifecycle tools such as JIRA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce Lightning platform out of box functionality.
- Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects.
- Ability to connect technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of the importance of clean code and integrated testing while following design best practices (data structure and design patterns).
- Ability to balance using custom development with a priority of using out of box functionality to meet client needs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboards.
- Experience with Salesforce Community Sites.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
- Experience working on automated build and deployment pipelines and supporting platforms.
- Working knowledge of cloud services.
- Able to clearly communicate and provide positive recommendations for improvements to existing software applications.
- Experience with the federal government or healthcare IT.
