Message from Family: Hello! We have two amazing kids who currently go to daycare, but we are looking for an alternative option. Mom is a working physician and works irregular hours with some days, evenings, and weekends. Mom does tend to keep the kids at home with her when she has weekdays off, so they typically only go to daycare 10-12 days per month. Dad is a full-time engineer who works more a more regular shift, Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm.We have one cat. He typically stays in the basement and doesn't interact often.

About the Children: Our oldest is a 3 year old boy who is very inquisitive and mild-mannered. He is a good listener and loves to play inside and outside. He is fully potty trained. He is pretty independent and loves to play with trucks, trains, and spider man toys. He does really well with routine and we stick to a pretty consistent schedule with breakfast, snack, lunch, nap, snack, dinner, and bedtime. He takes very good care of his baby sister although sometimes appreciates some space. Our youngest is a 1 year old sassy, bright, and sweet girl. She has strong opinions about everything and loves to be the center of attention. She likes to try new things, and one of her favorite things is flipping through books and pointing out all the animals. She crawls around at super speed and walks behind a walker, but isn't quite walking independently yet. She is an overall healthy girl and is growing well and meeting her developmental milestones. However, she did have 2 seizures in December (at 14 months old) and was diagnosed with "convulsions with gastroenteritis" which the neurologist told us was likely to never recur and be benign. However, we would want a nanny who is comfortable handling a medical situation if she would ever have a seizure again, and most certainly would want a nanny who is child CPR certified.

Their Ideal Nanny: The ideal nanny would be very clean, willing to stick to a fairly regular schedule with the kids (predictable and consistent eating times, nap times, etc), and open to working with a variable working schedule. Must be comfortable with cameras in the home. Must be okay with Mom and Grandma being present and very involved. Someone who is comfortable providing really close supervision given the youngest child's recent seizures. Additional Job Details: We have pretty high standards of cleanliness in our home, which we would expect a nanny to help us uphold. We always change into clean "inside" clothes when we return home, no shoes inside (or dedicated clean inside shoes/slippers), and we give the kids baths immediately upon coming home from daycare. The nanny would be expected to uphold the same standards of cleanliness. Since Mom's work schedule varies each month, there would likely be a mix of days where Mom is home but still needs nanny help, home and does not need help, or at work and the nanny would be alone with the kids. Mom knows her schedule 3-4 months in advance, so although it's irregular, it is planned well ahead of schedule.

Schedule: The family requires flexibility, as the schedule may vary. The nanny must be available between Monday- Friday, 7:40 AM and 5:30 PM. There will be occasional evening and weekend hours. The schedule will be provided 3–4 months in advance, ensuring plenty of time for planning. Additionally, the position includes working 1–2 Saturdays per month. *40 hours/week guaranteed.

Compensation: $30-$35 per hour DOE
