Part Time Nanny

Message from Family: We are a warm and loving family looking for a dependable and engaging nanny to join our team for a part-time position. We have been married for nearly 20 years, and we have 2 happy, healthy kids. Our son is 5, and our daughter is 1. They are both happy and active, and we're seeking someone who can care for them with kindness, creativity, and attentiveness. Dad works during the week, and Mom takes care of the house but does have some health issues that require her to get a lot of rest, and that's why we are looking for some additional help. We have another part-time nanny that helps our family during the week. We do not have pets. We have a housekeeper that comes every other week.

About the Children: Our oldest is a 5-year-old boy, and is a fairly independent little guy. He is cautious and very observant until he knows you or has the 'lay of the land'. He loves being outside but also loves building Legos. He's in school most weekdays but loves engaging in projects and crafts when he's home.

Our youngest is a cheerful 1-year-old girl who loves to explore her world. She naps from 12:30 PM to 2:30/3:00 PM daily and lights up the room with her sweet smile and contagious laughter

Their Ideal Nanny: We're looking for a nanny who is reliable, organized, and nurturing. Someone who is creative, enjoys planning fun crafts and activities and is proactive in managing the children's needs. You must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation for school pick-ups and errands. Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain an organized and tidy environment for the kids are essential. It's important that our future nanny is very attentive, safety cautious, and watches the kids like a hawk. We have a gated pool so we need someone that is a strong swimmer. Someone who knows choking procedures, CPR/First Aid is essential.

Additional Job Details: We are located in Lucas, and we prefer candidates who live within 20-25 miles due to traffic considerations. The nanny should be available to house-sit for the family when they go out of town.

Start Date: ASAP

Expected Job Duration: 6 months

Duties:

• Cooking meals for the kids, including school lunches and dinner three times a week.
• Managing laundry for the kids and/or household as needed.
• Organizing and tidying toys, clothes, snacks, books, and art supplies at the end of each day.
• Planning a weekly craft or project for the youngest and oldest (when he's home from school).
• Disinfecting toys and bath toys once a month.
• Keeping inventory of kids' groceries and toiletries, and communicating household needs to Mom.
• Picking up oldest child from school using the family car or your own if necessary.
• Providing bedtime routines, including bath, reading, and tucking the kids in on Friday nights.

Schedule:
Wednesday 12:00pm - 7:00pm
Friday 3:00pm - 10:00pm
Saturday 7:30am - 2:30pm
* Guaranteed 21 hours per week.

Compensation: $30 per hour

Benefits: Gas Mileage Reimbursement (if nanny uses own car), Use of Car, Paid holidays, Paid day off on nanny's birthday
