We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at A Pineywoods Home Health. In this role, you will provide essential daily living support to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a positive environment for recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Support patients in mobility and physical activities as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.
- Basic understanding of geriatric care principles is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
